kobolila / Orchid Tree, Butterfly Tree (English)

Leaves are dull green, paler beneath, alternately arranged on short branches, butterfly-like segmented into two oval-shaped lobes, each about 10–20 cm long and equally broad, veins are prominent, and radiate from the base. Flowers are conspicuous and attractive, borne as a group at the ends of branches. The colours of the flowers vary among trees from purple, pink, and lavender to reddish-pink. The fruit is a flattened pod about 25-30 cm long with a pointed end containing 12-16 seeds.
